A new automobile brand has been presented, which will produce cars in Russia
AGR Holding and Defetoo, as part of a global strategic partnership, have created another Russian automobile brand – Esteo. It will enter the premium segment of the market and will be the fourth joint project of the partners after Tenet, Tenet Plus and Jeland.
In this structure, as specified in “AGR”, the Esteo brand will take a premium position and will be represented by both cars on new energy sources (NEV), built on modern platforms and equipped with intelligent systems, and models with traditional internal combustion engines with an emphasis on well-thought-out engineering architecture, expressive design and a high level of performance.
“Esteo will create a new idea of a technological car as a space in which intelligent systems, thoughtful ergonomics, a high level of comfort and safety are combined. The brand is focused on creating solutions where technologies become a natural part of everyday life, providing confidence and ease of use,” the AGR press service emphasized.
The production of cars under the Esteo brand will be carried out at the automobile plants of the AGR holding. The launch of the project will be another step in developing the industrial base of the partnership and expanding the local technological presence, the holding claims.
Additional details about the philosophy of the new brand, its model range and the planned timing of the models’ market launch will appear later.
It was previously reported that crossovers of the Chery-owned Lepas brand will be produced under the Tenet Plus brand. In particular, one of the models will be a “clone” of the compact Lepas L4 crossover, a camouflaged example of which was recently spotted in the Leningrad Region. Its production should be established at one of the local AGR plants: either in Sestroretsk or Shushary.
