A new domestic car has appeared in Russia, which has been turned into a motorhome. How much does it cost?
The Russian Sollers Group announced the launch of a new light commercial model, the Sollers SF5, which has been in production at its plant in Yelabuga since May. This is the first car in its class, serially equipped with a classic automatic transmission, the company emphasized.

The new Sollers SF5 is presented in several modifications: all-metal vans, passenger buses, cargo-passenger versions, trucks and multi-purpose special vehicles, including cash-in-transit vehicles, ambulances of classes A, B, C and motorhomes.
For example, the Verso motorhome, built on the Sollers SF5 base in a version with a 150-horsepower diesel engine and automatic transmission, recently debuted. It received a fiberglass body, a cabin in the form of a mobile living space with four zones (dining room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom) and an independent energy system consisting of two solar panels with a total capacity of 400 W and a DC / AC inverter with a capacity of 3500 W, which converts the on-board power supply of 12 V to 220 V.

As for the Sollers SF5, which is now on sale, in addition to the classic “automatic”, it is also available in any version with a six-speed manual gearbox.
«The modernized Russian-made unit received reinforced gears and synchronizers to ensure maximum service life during commercial operation,» noted in Sollers.
Under the hood, the Sollers SF5 line of cars is equipped with a 150-horsepower 2.7-liter diesel engine, which is also produced in Russia and complies with the Euro 5 environmental standard.

Sollers SF5 is distinguished by improved noise insulation and ergonomics. The standard equipment of the model includes LED daytime running lights, electrically adjustable and heated rear-view mirrors, electric windows, a multi-function steering wheel, air conditioning, an on-board computer, cruise control, an audio system with MP3 support, USB ports for charging gadgets and cup holders.
Safety in the car is ensured by standard ABS and ESC systems, hill start assist, two airbags and a tire pressure monitoring system. The body panels of all Sollers SF5 are made of Russian galvanized steel.
