AvtoVAZ will begin equipping the Lada Aura sedan with a new 135-horsepower 1.8-liter engine
AvtoVAZ will begin equipping the extended LADA Aura sedans with a new 1.8-liter engine producing 135 horsepower. This was announced by the concern’s president, Maxim Sokolov, during a test drive of the LADA Azimut crossover with Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov.
“On the LADA Aura, which is currently equipped with a 1.8 engine [with a capacity] of 122 horsepower, we will install the same engine as on the LADA Azimut, with a capacity of 135 horsepower,” said Maxim Sokolov.
The head of AvtoVAZ, in a conversation with the minister, clarified the power ratings of both engines of the new LADA Azimut. According to him, the crossover will receive new engines with a volume of 1.6 and 1.8 liters, which will produce 122 and 135 horsepower, respectively. Earlier it was reported that the capacity of the first will be 120 horsepower, and the second – 132 horsepower.
