A new frame SUV has been developed in Russia, which will be produced at UAZ. What is known about the Sollers S9
Sollers announced the completion of the development of the Sollers S9 SUV and the model’s readiness for serial production in Russia. The company emphasized that this is a key stage of the project, after which preparations for the release of the car began.
According to the automaker, all engineering work on the model at the final stage was carried out in Russia. Specialists from the company’s Product Development Center, as well as young engineers from the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, were involved in the project.
As specified, the Sollers S9 is a frame all-wheel drive SUV. The company stated that the model is based on the currently produced Sollers ST9 pickup truck with all-wheel drive, the choice of which was due to the task of unification and adaptation to the road and climatic conditions of Russia.

The head of the Sollers product line group, Mikhail Guryanov, reported that the company had completed the development phase and confirmed the technical parameters included in the project. According to him, the presentation of the SUV is planned for the near future.
The company also stated that the final stage of creating production facilities in Ulyanovsk is currently underway. According to Sollers’ plan, the launch of serial production of the Sollers S9 is scheduled for September.
It was previously reported that UAZ will begin production of the new Sollers S9 frame SUV in the third quarter of 2026. It is expected that the model will be produced in a full cycle in Ulyanovsk, including stamping of body elements.
