Hyundai officially unveiled the new-generation Tucson crossover in the US

Hyundai unveiled the new-generation Tucson crossover in New York. The model features a bold design in the spirit of the company’s “Art of Steel” concept, advanced Pleos Connect multimedia, an off-road version of the XRT Pro, and a hybrid powertrain. The start of sales in the North American market is scheduled for 2027.

This is the fastest version of the new Tucson – the all-wheel drive PHEV version reaches 60 mph (96.6 km / h) in 7.9 seconds.

As for the interior of the new generation crossover, its front panel is made in two tiers, with an open niche for things. Above the steering column is a 9.9-inch digital instrument cluster display, and the gear selector is located directly on the column. Physical buttons are provided for climate control and the audio system. Options include massage seats, three-zone climate control, and two wireless smartphone chargers with a power of 15 W each.

The advanced Pleos Connect infotainment system runs on Android Automotive OS and has a touchscreen with a diagonal of 12.9 or 17 inches. It supports gesture control, third-party services without connecting a smartphone, and over-the-air updates. The Gleo AI voice assistant with artificial intelligence recognizes spoken language and takes into account the context of the request.

The first market for the new Hyundai Tucson will be its native South Korea, where it will appear in 2026. In North America, Europe and other regions it is expected in 2027, and such a crossover will be able to reach Russia only as an alternative import.
