6 seats and a range of up to 1000 kilometers: a new family crossover from Changan will appear in Russia
Changan is preparing to launch the Deepal S09, the largest crossover in the Deepal line, on the Russian market. The model was created for families and long trips and offers a three-row interior, a hybrid power plant with a long range and a high level of comfort, the manufacturer’s press service reported.
The trunk of the five-seater version holds 650 liters and expands to 2,310 liters with the seats folded, and the two-level floor adds practicality when transporting large items.
The all-round view system is supplemented by a “transparent chassis” mode, which is especially useful when parking in tight spaces, off-road or when driving onto a high curb – thanks to it, the driver always knows what is happening under the car.
Eight airbags protect all passengers, and the ERA-GLONASS system automatically transmits coordinates and impact data to the dispatcher in the event of an accident, speeding up the arrival of assistance.
Among other things, the Deepal S09 crossover is factory prepared for use in the Russian climate and is equipped with a full “winter package”, which includes heated windshield, washer nozzles, steering wheel and seats in all rows.

)Previously, the Deepal G318 hybrid SUV, which is produced at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad, entered the Russian market. In terms of dimensions, it even exceeds the Tank 500, and it is also powered by a sequential power plant.
It also recently became known that the Deepal brand in 2026 showed the most impressive sales growth among all automobile brands officially represented on the Russian market. Deepal sales have increased more than 26 times compared to last year.
