Our reader was in an unfortunate accident on Sunday, July 5th, at the intersection of Angarskaya Street and Partizansky Avenue in Minsk. He was driving through a green light and suddenly received a strong blow to the right. There is video from different angles.
The reader, driving a white Volkswagen, was crossing the avenue towards Angarskaya Street. The right lane, starting on a clear green light — what could have gone wrong?
By the time the impact occurred, the green light in the designated direction had already been on for about 5 seconds. So, at what traffic light signal did the car on the right enter the intersection?
The impact from the right to the rear of the Volkswagen spun around.
— The geometry and the axle of the car were distorted. I’m unharmed, but I’m out of work, says the driver of this car.
The traffic police were called to the scene.
— Another driver said he was distracted by the traffic light further down the avenue and didn’t even realize he was running a red light, added our reader.
