The first model of the new Senat brand has been certified in Russia; production of the brand is to be established at the former Toyota plant in Shushary, St. Petersburg. According to the issued Vehicle Type Approval (VTA), this may be a copy of the Chinese executive sedan Hongqi H9

The “firstborn” of the Senat brand will be called Senat 900 and will be an all-wheel drive sedan 5.14 meters long, 1.9 meters wide and 1.5 meters high. Hongqi H9 has exactly the same dimensions: 5137 mm long, 1904 mm wide and 1493 mm high with a wheelbase of 3060 mm.

The model is certified in two interior versions – with two and three seats in the back row. The announced powertrain is a 3.0-liter V6 gasoline engine producing 326 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. This same engine is also found in the new Hongqi H9 Executive trim, which has been on sale in Russia for a limited time since October of last year and costs at least 9,990,000 rubles. In this case, the transmission should be a classic eight-speed automatic.

The functional equipment of the Hongqi H9 with a V-shaped “six” under the hood, among other things, includes air suspension, electric door closers, the ability to put the rear passenger seat into “rest mode” with one touch, the function of delayed switching off of the headlights “Follow me home” and a second wireless charging in the back row.
