In Belarus, the procedure for issuing electronic passports for equipment has been improved. The corresponding resolution was signed by the Prime Minister of the country Alexander Turchin, the Telegram channel “Government of Belarus” reports.
This document provides for the regulation of certain issues regarding the registration of electronic passports for vehicles (vehicle chassis), self-propelled vehicles and other types of equipment manufactured and imported into the territory of Belarus.
The resolution also clarifies the rules for the registration of electronic passports for imported equipment by individuals and legal entities, individual entrepreneurs – prior to its state registration or alienation to third parties.
It is possible to register electronic passports upon applications from individuals and legal entities, individual entrepreneurs who have not independently imported vehicles from the territory of foreign states, that is, purchased already on the territory of Belarus. This will make it possible to register equipment purchased during the period when electronic passports were not required for state registration.
To ensure the possibility of cross-border exchange of PTS, the project provides for the possibility of RUE Beltamozhservice entering information from the vehicle design safety certificates (VSCTC) into such electronic passports.
To optimize administrative procedures for registration of EPTS, the resolution provides for an unlimited validity of the extract from the electronic passport.
