Another compact crossover with Japanese roots has quietly entered the Russian market: the Toyota Raize, developed jointly with Daihatsu. Despite its hatchback-like dimensions, the model is positioned as a full-fledged alternative to popular compact SUVs like Tenet, Belgee and “Chinese” crossovers.
The price is lower than that of competitors
On one of the classifieds, Toyota Raize starts at 1,880,000 rubles – and this is noticeably cheaper than its closest competitors.
For comparison:
- Tenet T4 assembled in Kaluga – from 2,089,000 ₽
- Belgee X50+ – from 2 319 990 ₽
- Jeland (copy of Jaecoo J6) – from 2 290 000 ₽
What is included in the base price
For 1.88 million rubles, the buyer gets a new left-hand drive Raize in the basic configuration. The price already includes:
- EPTS
- delivery
- commercial recycling fee
The equipment is minimal: air conditioning, key start and a basic set of equipment without frills.
Two engines to choose from
The model is offered with two power plants:
- 1.2 l naturally aspirated engine (87 hp) + CVT
- 1.0 l turbo (98 h.p.) + CVT
More powerful versions are available at a higher price – from 2.05 to 2.57 million rubles depending on the city and configuration.
Equipment: simple, but not empty
Even the “two-tone” versions remain quite simple in equipment:
- fabric interior
- rear view camera
- heated front seats
- multimedia with touchscreen
- 16-inch wheels
At the same time, the model does not have climate control and keyless entry – this is a fundamental limitation of the line.
Results
Toyota Raize is becoming one of the most affordable new Japanese crossovers on the Russian market. But its main focus is price, not rich equipment: for relatively little money, the buyer gets a compact city SUV with simple but proven solutions. Earlier, ufocar.ru reported which car is better to buy under 2 million rubles.
