Yesterday at about 17:20 on the M1 highway “Brest – Minsk – Russian border” there was a fatal accident. It all happened on the 39th kilometer of the highway in the Zhabinka district.
— According to preliminary information, the driver of the Mercedes collided with a Volkswagen, which stopped in front of an unregulated pedestrian crossing to let a pedestrian cross. A 70 km/h speed camera has been installed at the site, —the traffic police report.
The driver of the Volkswagen and a female passenger of the Mercedes were reported dead. The driver and two passengers of the Mercedes were taken to the hospital. The identities of the dead and injured are being established.
