On February 1, at about 1:50 p.m., a 57-year-old UAZ driver hit a 9-year-old boy who was sliding down a snowy hill in a forest plantation adjacent to the roadway on a tube.
It is noted that the man had the opportunity to see the child in advance. However, he did not take any measures to reduce the speed until the car stopped and continued driving.
The boy suffered serious injuries due to danger to life. The driver’s actions are qualified under Part 2 of Art. 317 of the Criminal Code (violation of traffic rules, which through negligence resulted in causing grievous bodily harm), reports the prosecutor’s office of the Minsk region.
When sending the criminal case to court, the prosecutor upheld the previously applied preventive measure to the accused in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place and to behave properly.
