Toyota has unveiled the updated 2027 Corolla Cross crossover.

Toyota has unveiled the updated 2027 Corolla Cross crossover in the United States. It has an optimized configuration, but the characteristics and equipment as a whole have not changed – both hybrid and gasoline cars will go on sale in the fall.

The changes affected, first of all, the line of hybrid versions of Toyota Corolla Cross – the S trim level has disappeared from it. Now only the SE and XSE versions will remain on sale, while the gasoline crossover will still be available in three equipment levels: L, LE and XLE. Externally, the gasoline and hybrid versions differ in the front end of the body – the second one has a plastic plug instead of the traditional radiator grille.

The specifications have not changed with the transition to the 2027 model year. The gasoline Corolla Cross still has a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine with a capacity of 169 hp, aggregated with a CVT and front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The hybrid crossover, as before, is equipped with a power plant with a capacity of 196 hp. and an electronic all-wheel drive system with the ability to engage e-AWD on demand.

The standard all-wheel drive (Dynamic Torque Control) in gasoline cars can transfer up to 50% of the torque to the rear wheels and completely disengage when its assistance is not needed. In the hybrid, the rear wheels are driven by an electric motor, which is activated in advance at the start, reacts to slippage of the front wheels and helps reduce understeer.

Prices for the updated Toyota Corolla Cross 2027 model year are already known. The gasoline crossover will cost from $25,535 or about 2.13 million rubles, and for the hybrid you will have to pay at least $31,415 or 2.62 million rubles at the current exchange rate.

It was previously reported that the new Toyota Corolla Cross is being brought to Russia via parallel import from China, Japan and the UAE. At least in the spring, both hybrid and gasoline versions of the crossover were on sale, priced from 2,500,000 rubles.
