The new Changan urban crossover UNI-Z has gone on sale in Russia.
Changan unveiled the new urban crossover UNI-Z in Moscow and announced the start of its sales in Russia. As Avtonovosti Dnya learned during the presentation of the new product, the model with a fully galvanized body (except for the roof) entered the Russian market in two trim levels priced from 3,249,000 rubles.

The dimensions of the new UNI-Z are closer to mid-size crossovers than to compact ones. Its length is 4718 mm, width – 1880 mm, and the wheelbase is 2780 mm. The front and rear overhangs are 974 and 964 mm. With a ground clearance of 179 mm, the approach and departure angles are 19 and 25 degrees, and the trunk volume, depending on the position of the second row backrests, ranges from 638 to 1,425 liters.

The initial configuration “Lux” costs 3 249 000 rubles. It includes LED headlights and taillights, 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic roof with a sunroof, six airbags (including side curtains for the first and second rows), three rear parking sensors, a tire pressure monitoring system, keyless entry, a push-button engine start function, a standard video recorder, a function for folding the outside electrically adjustable mirrors and an electric tailgate with adjustable opening height.

The interior of the “base” Changan UNI-Z has six audio speakers and sports front seats with combined eco-leather and fabric upholstery. The driver’s seat is electrically adjustable in six directions, the passenger seat is mechanically adjustable in four directions, and the second row backrests fold in a 40:60 ratio.
The central place in the interior of the new crossover is occupied by a multimedia system with a 14.6-inch touchscreen. It supports navigation and online services, intelligent voice control, telematics and wireless connection of smartphones via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition, the minimum configuration “Lux” includes a package of active safety and driver assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control, a forward collision warning system, an automatic emergency braking system and a lane departure warning system.
The crossover in the top version “Techno” priced at 3,349,900 rubles is distinguished by larger 20-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, chrome inserts on the door handles, dynamic turn signals in the rear lights and a dual exhaust system with four pipes.

The seats in the “Techno” version are completely finished in eco-leather, and the equipment is supplemented with ventilation of the front seats, a central headrest on rear row, a rear armrest with cup holders, as well as adjustable lumbar support in the driver’s seat and electric adjustment of the front passenger seat in four directions.
Among other differences of the maximum configuration are atmospheric interior lighting with a mesh pattern in the side air vents, double-layered front side windows, an air quality control system in the cabin with an ionization function, an eight-speaker Sony audio system and wireless charging for a smartphone.
The driver assistance systems in the “Techno” version are supplemented by two front parking sensors, a blind spot monitoring system, a lane change assistant, an obstacle warning function when opening the door and a collision warning system in the back.The new Changan UNI-Z has the equipment necessary for winter operation. The “warm” package of options for the new model includes heated windshield, steering wheel, front and rear seats (the front cushion and backrest are heated, in the rear only the cushion). In addition, there is a 5-liter reservoir for windshield washer fluid and a remote engine start function with a key, which allows you to warm up the car without the driver in the cabin.

The UNI-Z has no alternative power unit: both trim levels are equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo four with a capacity of 147 hp and 280 Nm of maximum torque, available in the range from 1500 to 3700 rpm. The engine is paired with a seven-speed 7DCT dual clutch transmission and is front-wheel drive only. The claimed fuel consumption of AI-92 gasoline is 7.4 liters per 100 km according to the CLTC cycle.
The new model is available in four body colors: Moon Silver, Star Gray, Pearl White, and Space Black. The interior is available in three colors: black, brown and light gray.
