Not just a “Patriot”: the updated UAZ SUV will hit the market under a new name
The updated UAZ “Patriot” SUV will receive its original name – “Patriot X”. This follows from the Vehicle Type Approval (VTA) received yesterday for the model, writes Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

According to the publication, for now an SUV with a gasoline engine and a six-speed manual transmission is certified under this name. Apparently, the diesel version, equipped with a localized 2.0-liter Sollers 550010 turbodiesel with a capacity of 136 hp and a six-speed manual, which is also produced in Russia, will also have the same name.
As a reminder, with the update, the UAZ Patriot will even receive options that it never had before. Among them are an electromechanical transfer case with a washer control, several USB ports of different configurations, including USB-C, and a multimedia system with a 9-inch display, which will be added to the model’s equipment in the future.
Among other changes in the upcoming restyling are fully LED optics (headlights, taillights and fog lights), front parking sensors, a new multi-wheel with a thickened leather rim and a magnesium frame of Russian production and a more visually modern central console with a single-zone climate control, a multimedia display and buttons for two-level heating of the front seats.
