Before the start of the long May holidays, Minsk residents naturally rushed out of town. They were right – Saturday finally brought warm weather. But many apparently decided not to put off returning home until Sunday – because, you know, the holidays drag on. As a result, there were unusual traffic jams for a Saturday in certain directions.
A queue, of course, immediately formed on Parkovaya Street (in Zhdanovichi), which connects Minsk Sea with Pobediteley Avenue. According to readers, the traffic jams lasted until about 9:00 pm.
Another traffic jam formed on Nezavisimosti Avenue from the Uruchye side. Because of this, Minsktrans had to warn city residents: public transport has begun running with schedule delays of up to 25 minutes.
We can only guess what will happen on Sunday evening. In the meantime, there is a chance to take a break from the car and breathe in the smell of barbecue.
