The Volkswagen Teramont, the largest SUV, has joined the lineup. It’s ideal for those for whom the Tiguan is too small and the Touareg is too expensive. In addition to its excellent on-road and off-road capabilities, the Teramont is perfect for out-of-town trips with a rowdy group.
A team of journalists and photographers set out to test the Volkswagen Teramont: its off-road performance, impressive trunk space, and the comfort of its third row of seats. The picnic spot was in the Lago-Naki region, one of the most picturesque areas with a mountainous landscape and varied road surfaces. The entire journey to the final destination—approximately 3.5 hours—passed through urban jungle, an intercity highway, and off-road sections in a green area. Participants tested two Volkswagen Teramonts, which contrasted visually. The “Bread Stories” bakery chain became the field trip’s new bakery partner, providing several baked goods perfect for the picnic.
The first test-drive model was presented in the brightest color of the line – metallic yellow “Kurkuma,” while the second vehicle was a more subdued gray shade, metallic “Platinum.” Both models were identical in technical specifications – with 2-liter engines producing 220 hp. After a traditional picnic with views of the Caucasus Range, the participants set off along a serpentine mountain road toward Partizanskaya Polyana. The route lasted about an hour, the road conditions allowed us to test the performance and maneuverability of the Volkswagen Teramont.
