“Panorama” and adaptive cruise control are already in the “base”: Changan revealed the equipment of the new crossover for Russia
The Changan company revealed the equipment of the new UNI-Z crossover, which will be offered to Russians in two trim levels: “Lux” and “Techno”. As reported to “Auto News of the Day” by the brand’s press service, the basic version already has a panoramic roof with a sunroof, adaptive cruise control and active driver assistance systems.
The length of the UNI-Z body is 4718 mm with a width of 1880 mm and a wheelbase of 2780 mm, and the front and rear overhangs are 974 and 964 mm. With a ground clearance of 179 mm, the approach and departure angles are 19 and 25 degrees, and the trunk volume, depending on the position of the second row backrests, varies in the range from 638 to 1425 liters.
In the basic “Lux” configuration, the appearance of the UNI-Z is emphasized by LED headlights and taillights, 19-inch alloy wheels, door handles in the same color body and black window trim with moldings on the doors, and a panoramic roof with a sunroof is installed above the cabin.
The cabin in the basic version is equipped with sports front seats with a combined upholstery of eco-leather and fabric, in which the headrests are made integral with the backrest. The driver’s seat is electrically adjustable in six directions, the passenger seat is mechanically adjustable in four directions, the multifunctional steering wheel has the same number of settings, and the second row backrests fold in a 40:60 ratio.
The central place in the cabin is occupied by a multimedia system with a 14.6-inch touchscreen, which supports navigation and online services, intelligent voice control, telematics and wireless connection to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the sound in the “Lux” is output to six speakers.
Active safety in the “Lux” is ensured by a package of driver assistance systems, in which the adaptive cruise control automatically maintains the distance from the car in front. The forward collision warning system monitors the situation in front of the car, and automatic emergency braking is triggered if the driver does not have time to react to the danger. The lane departure warning system will sound a signal if the car begins to leave its lane.
In the top-end “Techno” version, special attention is paid to the interior atmosphere and the comfort of second-row passengers, for whom a central headrest and an armrest with cup holders are provided.
Atmospheric lighting with a mesh pattern in the side air vents visually adds volume to the interior, double-layer front side windows improve sound insulation, and the air in the cabin is monitored by a quality control system with an ionization function.
The front seat belts in this version are height-adjustable, and lighting appears in the sun visors. The Techno features a SONY eight-speaker audio system, and a wireless smartphone charger is located on the center console.
The Techno adds assistants to the driver assistance systems that monitor the area to the sides and rear of the car. The blind spot monitoring system warns you of vehicles that are difficult to see in the mirrors, the lane change assistant notifies you of vehicles quickly approaching in the adjacent lane, and the door opening warning function sounds a signal if another road user is approaching from behind. In addition, this configuration includes a rear collision warning system, and two front parking sensors are added to the three rear ones.
