AvtoVAZ presented the updated “Lada Vesta”. What has changed and how much does it cost?

AvtoVAZ has begun shipping the updated Lada Vesta with a 132-horsepower engine to dealers.

AvtoVAZ presented the deeply modernized LADA Vesta. All modifications of the model (sedan, station wagon, cross-sedan and cross-station wagon) are now equipped with a new generation 1.8 engine, and in some versions new comfort and safety options have been added to the equipment, the company’s press service reported.

The new 1.8-liter engine produces 132 hp instead of 122 hp, and torque has increased from 170 to 175 Nm. Thanks to its improved performance, the updated LADA Vesta’s top speed is 192 km/h, acceleration from zero to 100 km/h has been reduced to 10 seconds, and combined fuel consumption has been reduced to 7.4 liters per 100 km.

“Increased torque across the entire rev range makes the engine more flexible, and driving more comfortable and efficient,” notes AvtoVAZ.

The new generation 1.8 engine is installed on the LADA Vesta, starting with the Praktik and Drive trim levels. However, the model update is not limited to just the 132-horsepower engine.

In addition to the new engine, certain versions of the updated Vesta now have additional comfort and safety systems. Thus, the all-terrain Vesta Cross sedans and Vesta SW Cross station wagons with increased ground clearance received a system for selecting driving modes, which changes the engine settings, as well as the traction control and anti-skid systems for the modes “Ground”, “Sand”, “Snow” and “Sport”.
