From Atom to Volga: which 22 new models began to be produced in Russia in 2026
From January to July, 71 new models of cars were registered in Russia for the first time, 22 of which are produced domestically. More than half of the new models are passenger cars, RIA Novosti calculated based on data from automotive statistics resources.

Russian-made commercial vehicles are represented by AvtoVAZ models: the SKM M7 and M9. In addition, this year, the new line of Moskvich brand crossovers, the Moskvich M70 and Moskvich M90, were registered for the first time.
The list also includes new products from AGR Holding: the Jeland J8 and J7 crossovers, as well as the Tenet T9 and T4L. All of the listed cars are among the 22 models produced domestically.
The majority of new models were registered in February. According to a report from Avtostat and the United Leasing Association (OLA), 15 new cars were registered this month. The fewest such cars were registered in May and June – in each of these months, the Russian car fleet was replenished with five new models.
The Tenet brand had previously become one of the leaders in the Russian car market, and the T4L crossover had already entered the top five best-selling models. For the new line, which is produced domestically, this has become one of the most notable results on the market.
