The McLaren was transported from Lithuania to Belarus on a gun carriage. The documents indicated that the two-year-old sports car cost 17,990 euros. This amount raised doubts among customs officers, after which the car was detained for inspection, Grodno TV and Radio Company reports.
It was established that the real value of the car was 261,579 euros. In fact, its value was “reduced” by almost 15 times. This would have reduced the amount of customs duties by more than 280,000 rubles.
The accused is a citizen of Belarus, the director of a Lithuanian company. He acted in collusion with other persons. Documents containing false information about the value of the car, its technical condition and the recipient were submitted to the customs authorities. The transportation contract was drawn up in the name of a disabled person of the second group and a Grodno transport company.

It is reported that an auction will be held in Grodno on April 24, where one can buy a two-door McLaren 720S Spider coupe. Trading house “Vostochny” has put this car up for sale.
The condition of the car is satisfactory: there are minor scratches on the body, the battery is discharged. The ignition key is present, the engine starts. To clarify the actual condition of the car, a personal inspection is recommended, as hidden defects are possible.
The price of the car is 1,041,444 rubles.
The auction was supposed to take place on April 24, but there were no buyers. Despite the car’s uniqueness, according to Vostochny Trading House, no bidders were registered. The auction did not take place.

The first attempt to sell the car was unsuccessful. Now McLaren is returning to the auction with an updated price tag and a new attempt to find a buyer. The auction will take place on May 13, and the new price for the car will be 989,371.80 rubles, according to Vostochny Trading House.
