STLA Small platform: the future of the compact Stellantis and the possible return of Fiat Punto
The STLA Small platform is one of four modular architectures developed by Stellantis to optimize costs and take advantage of economies of scale. This platform is designed for cars in the A, B and C segments, with both hybrid and electric configurations.

Stellantis has announced that it will implement the STLA Small platform at the Pomigliano d’Arco plant starting in 2028, with the aim of producing at least two new compact models.
Among the models that could benefit from this platform, the return of the Fiat Punto is expected. The new Punto could share its technical underpinnings with the future Peugeot 208, combining Italian design and advanced technology.
STLA Small is designed to support variable-power electric motors and guarantees competitive autonomy, meeting the needs of a market increasingly focused on sustainable mobility.
The introduction of this platform represents a significant step for Stellantis in strengthening its presence in the compact car segment by offering innovative and technologically advanced vehicles.
