Resolution No. 477 was published on the National Legal Portal. According to it, foreign representatives of certain professions are required to pass a test of knowledge of one of the state languages before getting a job in Belarus. Among these professions is a car driver.
The exam must be passed before concluding an employment contract with an employer. Knowledge of one of the state languages must be “to the extent necessary for communication.”
Knowledge is assessed by means of testing in written form. By the way, photographing the tasks from the test is prohibited.
— The test result is considered positive if the number of correct answers in the test of an immigrant worker is 50 percent or more, — the document says. — An immigrant worker is allowed to take the knowledge assessment upon presentation of an identity document, a medical certificate of health confirming the absence of diseases included in the list of diseases posing a danger to public health, a contract for the provision of services and information confirming payment for the knowledge assessment.
The exam will be held on the 15th and the last day of each month. The Ministry of Education determines and publishes specific addresses of knowledge assessment points.
