There aren’t many players in the Russian market for delivery vans. These spacious, versatile vans can carry not only passengers but also substantial cargo. These vehicles are popular with drivers who, due to their work, require a vehicle that can be an assistant in their daily work. The editors of Yuzhny Avtomobil were convinced of the practicality and versatility of the Renault Dokker.
Moroccan Beauty
Affordable, affordable, and practical vehicles have given Renault a new direction for development. Built on the modular B0 platform, the Renault Logan, Duster, and Sandero are sold in our country in the thousands and always make it into the top 10 best-selling vehicles. However, Renault decided to go even further, switching to affordable light commercial vehicles. The Renault Dokker, featured in our test today, replaces the Renault Kangoo, which wasn’t particularly popular in Russia due to its high cost. However, Renault marketers managed to offer consumers a more affordable, fuel-efficient, and low-maintenance vehicle with the same functionality, priced under a million rubles—the Renault Dokker. The vehicle is assembled in Morocco, which has significantly reduced its cost.

The Dokker’s appearance makes a pleasant impression. It’s a truly rugged vehicle with a raised nose, stern headlights, a stylish grille, a large emblem, and a neat bumper. Despite its utilitarian nature, this French car has a dynamic look. While the appearance of the platform-sharing Lada Largus van is questionable, the Dokker is more appealing. In the top-of-the-line versions, the car will have roof rails, alloy wheels, and bumpers and mirrors painted in the body color. Several parking sensors will be installed.

All aboard!
But the story about the Renault Dokker should start with the interior and trunk – these are its main trump cards in the fight against competitors. The car’s luggage compartment is 800 liters, and with the rear seats folded, it increases to three cubic meters. There are a huge number of trunk transformation options. In fact, another row of seats could easily fit there.
The door opening is over 70 centimeters, so getting into the car will be no problem at all. The interior space can be compared to a small apartment – there is enough room for everyone. Additionally, there is an EasySeat option, which allows the passenger seat to be easily removed without tools. This increases the loading length of the van from 1,900 mm to 3,100 mm.

The Renault Dokker interior is distinguished by its spaciousness, good visibility, and comfortable seats. Numerous compartments in the cabin allow the professional to always have everything he needs at hand.
The Dokker interior is built from the same elements as the Duster and Logan. This applies to the steering wheel, radio controls, gearshift lever, climate control unit, and many other elements. The instrument scales with chrome rings are similar to those of its counterparts in the same brand. The Renault Dokker is available in two upholstery options, depending on trim level: a black and gray combination or a solid black finish.

The front seats are molded for a comfortable fit on long trips. A heating system will help in winter. Long journeys will be easier with the cruise control system. The Media NAV system is intuitive. The menu graphics make finding the desired function a snap. The interior ergonomics are quite acceptable. As they say, modest, but tasteful. Furthermore, the Dokker has plenty of pockets and niches for small items, and there’s even a shelf in the ceiling. At the same time, despite the fact that the car is considered a workhorse, it has front airbags, as well as an anti-lock braking system ABS and an EBD electronic brake force distribution system.

Practicality and versatility in action
The car on our test is powered by a 1.5-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 90 horsepower. Fuel consumption is around 5 liters per 100 kilometers. The basic version of the Dokker has a 1.6 gasoline engine with a capacity of 82 horsepower. Only a manual transmission. Dokker handles driving over potholes with ease. It is helped by a ground clearance of 19 centimeters and elastic suspension. In front, there is a MacPherson from Logan – in the back, a beam from Renault Kangoo.

The universal B0 platform allows Renault to build completely different cars. Dokker is one of them. This spacious vehicle is suitable not only for transporting passengers but also cargo. For example, a fully loaded dokker van is assembled at the Renault plant in Morocco. The van has a useful volume of almost 4,000 liters, and the loading length exceeds three meters. The maximum load capacity is 750 kg. The vehicle is an ideal option for delivering goods, transporting small boxes or household appliances.

The Renault Dokker Van cargo version is available with optional equipment specially designed for professional use of the van in various business areas: all-metal partition with a window into the cargo compartment; partially rotating metal lattice partition (in combination with the transformable EasySeat passenger seat); glazed hinged rear doors with heating; right side sliding door with glazing; wood or plastic cargo compartment lining; rubberized floor covering for additional stability and protection of cargo from damage or wood floor lining; Lashing rings in the cargo compartment that prevent the load from shifting. The design options can be completely different to adapt the Dokker to the needs of your business. The starting price of the Renault Dokker is 839,000 rubles, cheaper than most of the main competitors, while Renault offers several credit programs for small and medium businesses.
