A fairly popular and popular car, like the entire company, has a very good reputation, and there are few complaints about them, in principle, but this does not mean that there are none at all. As mentioned above, the car does not cause serious complaints, but at the same time it has the following troubles.
Body
- Almost the entire series has a very weak paintwork. After a short time, noticeable chips appear on the front bumper, the hood and fenders also suffer.
- The windshield cracks for no particular reason, and replacing it alone will cost you a lot.
- The lock on the driver’s door may be acting up, and although you can fix this problem yourself, you will have to remove the door trim.
- In severe winter frosts, the door seal suffers greatly to the point that it has to be completely replaced.
- With relatively low mileage, the driver’s door begins to close poorly.
Chassis
- During the first kilometers of mileage, the steering wheel may begin to pull to the right, but the problem can be solved by performing a wheel alignment.
- The suspension itself is very stiff, which is clearly felt in winter, when the struts creak and become incredibly stiff.
- After a while, the wheel bearing will start to actively make noise, and although the rest of the chassis is very durable, its howl will only get louder over time, so it will need to be replaced.
Engine
- Sadly, the engine of this car is very picky about the quality and condition of the engine oil, which is why various problems can often occur.
- Although the engine design is good, it is prone to overheating, especially in the summer, when the cooling system cannot cope with the load level.
Other
- For no particular reason, the headlights fog up quite a lot in the corners.
- The interior is made of very low-quality materials, so after a while, scratches and abrasions become very noticeable, and then extraneous sounds appear in the interior and the seat upholstery deteriorates.
- Almost every other car, the catalytic converter breaks down, or rather, it simply gets clogged.
- As was said above, the cooling system in the car is very weak. Moreover, it often gets clogged (including the radiator), so regular cleaning will be required.
- The steering rack is weak, so with a relatively low mileage it will have to be repaired one way or another, and the steering itself can become quite tight.
As was said, the car is extremely runnable and will withstand fairly harsh operating conditions, but almost every owner will have to spend money on minor repairs, and if they are carried out in a timely manner, then in the end the amount will not be so large.
By the way, these cars are especially often used as taxis, after which they are sold on the secondary market, and their condition is far from acceptable, and therefore the car needs to be checked even more carefully, and it is advisable to do this in a good service with a proven master.
