The purpose of a car alarm is to notify the car owner in the event of any attempt on his vehicle: be it breaking into the car or hitting its body. Types of car alarms
The main difference between the types of alarm systems is the different principle of their operation. Manufacturers offer the following types of devices:

The device blocks the door in the event of penetration into the car interior or any impact on the body. The main disadvantage is considered to be the small distance from the car to the owner (about 200 m). This type is used by owners of old or inexpensive cars.
- Two-way alarm. The device notifies the owner with a signal on the key fob screen. Depending on the setting, a light or sound signal is sent. The distance from the alert source to the key fob is about 1 km. The combination of the alert function and engine warm-up in a configurable automatic mode is popular with car owners.
- Satellite alarm. The system allows you to track the location of the car in real time anywhere on the globe. In the event of unauthorized entry into the car or an attempt to break in, the system transmits a signal to the dispatcher, who sends the information to the law enforcement agency. At the same time, the owner of the vehicle is informed.
How to choose a car alarm
When choosing a car alarm, experts recommend considering the entire range of available functions. First, you should evaluate their necessity. For example, if the cost of the car is low or it is a very used model, then it is not valuable for theft. In this case, a simple alarm system without unnecessary functions will do.
If the car is new and is parked in a local area or a deserted parking lot, then choosing a device with a satellite tracking or signal recoding function will be justified.
