Several charging stations located next to the Minsk City Palace of Culture (129 Mayakovsky Street) turned out to be inaccessible to users. The area was recently fenced off, and it is not possible to charge from the roadway.
What motorists say
— The popular slow charging posts (22 kW) were blocked by trailers and a construction site, — Yulia explains the essence of the problem. — Everything would be fine, but there are two points. Firstly, these are the most popular posts in the area (Loshitsky Park, Mayakovsky Street). A lot of cars come here at night, as if to a residential area, and you are lucky to catch a free space here. Now there are only two of the six left. The closest slow poles in the area are a few kilometers away.
Secondly, in Malanka this station is lit up as active. That is, green. Previously, non-working poles were lit up in the app in red or gray, or the stations themselves in the app would say something like “not working”. I wonder if Malanka is aware that four spots are blocked? And in general, is it normal to block charging poles like this? It’s like blocking pumps at gas stations. And how long will this repair take?
Operator’s comment
Onlíner’s correspondent asked the Malanka network operator for clarification – we are publishing the answer in full.
“Indeed, on the territory near Mayakovsky Street, where three slow (22 kW) and one fast (50 kW) power plants belonging to the Malanka network are installed, repair work related to the reconstruction of the cafe has begun. On July 10, 2025, the construction site was fenced off in accordance with the agreed design documentation and permission from the city authorities. Since the parking lot is public land, the restriction of access to some of the charging stations is legitimate and temporary.
The card for this location in the Malanka app states that two of the four stations are temporarily unavailable for charging during construction work. We understand the inconvenience for users, especially considering the demand for these stations in the area. The nearest alternative slow charging point (22 kW) is located 2.5 km from this location – up-to-date information on available stations can be monitored in the app in real time.
The completion dates of the works are determined by the construction schedule for September 30, 2025, after which access to the stations will be restored. We recommend that users monitor the status updates in the app.
We apologize for the temporary inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. For any additional questions, please contact Malanka’s technical support service.
