The Samsung company has officially announced in India a new smartphone Galaxy M17e 5G. The new product is, in fact, a renamed version of the Galaxy A07 5G, which debuted a month earlier, but has received a number of updates and improvements in design and software.

The smartphone is equipped with a 6.7-inch IPS-display with HD+ resolution and a high refresh rate of 120 Hz, which ensures smooth display of content and comfortable use in games and social networks.

The device is based on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300processor, working in tandem with 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded using a microSD-card.

Galaxy M17e 5G received a dual main camera with 50 and 2 MP sensors, and an 8 MPfront camera is designed for selfies. The phone is protected from dust and moisture according to the IP54 standard, and its body has a thickness of 8.2 mm, which makes the device compact enough for a large battery.

Speaking about the battery, the battery capacity is 6000 mAh, while fast charging with a power of 25 W is supported, allowing you to replenish the charge in a short time.

The smartphone runs Android 16 with the proprietary One UI 8.0 shell. Samsung claims six years of system and security updates, making the device attractive to users who plan to use the smartphone for a long time.

Additionally, the Galaxy M17e 5G is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, standard 3.5mm headphone jack, support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3 and USB-C port.

Prices for the device start at 12,999 Indian rupees (about $140) for the 4/128 GB version, while the 6/128 GB model is priced at 14,499 rupees (about 160 dollars). The smartphone will be available in several color options, including black, blue and green, and will also receive adapted options for the Indian market, such as support for local Samsung services.
