On the afternoon of July 19, a fire broke out in a private garage in the village of Taranovo, Mogilev District. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, during car repairs, gasoline that had leaked from the tank caught fire – it was accidentally ignited by a spark from a grinder.
The son of the garage owner and his friend were repairing a car there. While cutting metal with an angle grinder, gasoline that had leaked from the car’s gas tank ignited. As a result, a fire started in the garage.
A 22-year-old man, a friend of the son of the owner of the house, received severe burns and was taken to the hospital. The fire spread throughout the garage, but the owner managed to put out the fire with improvised means before the rescuers arrived.
