Two identical Mazda RX-7 FD cars with Veilside Fortune body kits were built for the film, which was released in 2006. According to the plot, the car belonged to a street racer named Han, played by Sung Kang. Today, auctioneers claim that this particular example is the only one that has survived. It was not used in drifting or action scenes, and was filmed exclusively in static shots and close-ups.
After filming was completed, the car had only one owner. In 2008, he moved the RX-7 to the UK and has been carefully looking after it ever since. The coupe is in excellent condition.
The Veilside body kit increased the width of the body by 20 centimeters. The car is equipped with custom wheels, coilover suspension, Blitz Nur-Spec exhaust system, sports seats, Alpine audio system and NOS decorative balloon. The engine has been tuned by RE Amemiya and is now in close to factory condition, producing around 280 horsepower.
