The State Control Committee of Belarus held a hotline on parking. What did Minsk residents complain about?
It is reported that more than 50 messages (which can rather be called complaints) were received in total. The majority of the requests concerned the lack of parking spaces, especially in the Minsk-Mir and Mayak Minska residential complexes.
— There were also complaints about the lack of markings in adjacent parking lots and parking areas, which does not allow for the rational use of parking space in courtyards, as well as the installation of containers for collecting waste and garbage in parking lots. For example, despite repeated requests from citizens, such containers occupy parking spaces near houses No. 60 and 62 on ul. Prushinkskikh, —they said in the State Control Committee.
Another problem is long-term parking lots in residential areas. “Despite the demand for parking spaces, individual parking lots are built for years, and some unfinished buildings are already being torn down,” the department says. Such “problem” facilities are located near residential buildings No. 64 on Skripnikova Street, No. 20 and 22 on Korzyuki Street, No. 10 on Svyazistov Street.
— The situation with the unfinished “twin parking lots” near residential buildings No. 91 on Lobanka Street and No. 5 on Sukharevskaya Street, which are already subject to demolition, also raises justified complaints, — the State Control Committee adds. — The State Control Committee has taken all incoming questions under control. Information on them has been sent to the Minsk City Executive Committee for action. The city authorities have been asked to promptly work through the identified problems and take response measures in accordance with the law.
