Work to prevent abuse of benefits continues at the Brest checkpoint. Over the past few days, an interdepartmental task force has identified more than 15 attempts to illegally use the preferential right to enter the Brest checkpoint (from the Polish side – Terespol), the State Border Committee reports.
– Among the violators were 2 Polish citizens with disabilities. The foreigners offered car drivers to cross the border together, bypassing the general queue due to their preferential status. The men tried to receive a reward for this service, – the State Border Committee noted.
It is reported that tax inspectorate employees held preventive conversations with the violators. Most citizens have been given official warnings and fines.
Work to stop such illegal activity is carried out around the clock.
