A 35-year-old resident of the Luninets district was brought to criminal responsibility three times for driving a car while intoxicated, committed repeatedly. He was deprived of his license for seven years, but this did not stop him from getting behind the wheel again in May 2025.
The man’s father intervened in the situation: as the prosecutor’s office says, he was in a conflict with his son and repeatedly asked him to change his lifestyle. When the head of the family found out about another “drunk” trip of his offspring, he called the police. The son was detained by traffic police.
The man was convicted: under Part 2 of Article 317-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, he was sentenced to imprisonment for 2 years to be served in a penal colony under a strict regime. He was also deprived of his license for 8 years. The car was confiscated – it was registered to the brother of the convicted person.
