Several Telegram channels previously reported that AvtoVAZ allegedly stopped production of the Lada Aura back in July, but the plant denied this information. Company representatives stated that production of sedans continues and called the widespread information fake.
Earlier, the Telegram channel Mash claimed that Lada Aura assembly was suspended due to low demand and the car did not return to the assembly line. According to the publication, production of 3,000 cars was planned by the end of 2024, and another 8,000 cars in 2025. At the same time, dealers estimated the actual production volume at 5-6 thousand cars.
The Lada Aura was presented at the end of 2024. The sedan is available in two trim levels – Premier and Status – which differ in the set of options. The older Status version additionally received overhead cushions on the rear headrests, a Lada Enjoy Vision Pro multimedia system with a 10-inch display, eight speakers, and Yandex Auto services.
According to the Avtostat agency, 792 Lada Aura cars were sold in Russia from January to August 2025. More than half (53%) were bought by private individuals, the rest of the cars were registered to organizations.
