Investment fund Central Asia Capital announced the appointment of Anatoly Torokhov as Chairman of the Board of Central Asia Auto, the company’s press service reported. His responsibilities will include creating the sales infrastructure and financial services for a new project to localize AVTOVAZ vehicles in Kyrgyzstan under the Muras brand. The main goal is to build a comprehensive sales ecosystem, including leasing, lending and insurance programs.
Previously, Torohov held senior positions at LK Europlan, and then created and headed the retail department at Rosbank Leasing (formerly part of the Societe Generale group, since 2025 – part of T-Bank). In parallel, he continues to work as Deputy Chairman for Development of the Leasing Association of Kyrgyzstan.
The volume of investments in the joint project with AVTOVAZ will be about 30 million dollars, and the launch is planned for 2026. The production of LADA cars under the Muras brand will be supported by the state, including a preferential leasing program for cars produced in Kyrgyzstan.
According to the AVTOSTAT agency, the project will be implemented in three stages:
- 2026–2030 — large-unit assembly of cars, production volume up to 1,500 units per year.
- Up to 2035 — medium-unit assembly with the release of up to 5,000 cars annually.
- Full production cycle — more than 7,000 cars per year.
Under the brand Muras will produce models LADA Granta, Vesta, Largus, Niva and Iskra.
The Central Asia Capital fund specializes in the implementation of large industrial and infrastructure projects in Central Asia. The key project of the fund is the creation of an automobile plant in Kyrgyzstan jointly with AVTOVAZ for the production of LADA cars under the brand Muras.
