A Brest resident — a bus driver for a Polish carrier — systematically picked up passengers without tickets for almost a year (from March 23, 2025 to February 20, 2026). This happened near the Brest checkpoint, while the man accepted a cash reward. As it was proven, the driver transported 436 people this way and “earned” 21,800 rubles. He was caught when the tax authorities conducted a test purchase.
— The driver accepted an order from a tax inspectorate employee, who acted as a potential client, for the transportation of one passenger on the Brest-Terespol route, as well as a control cash reward of 50 rubles. The service was not provided due to the announced audit, the funds were returned to the tax authority employee, , the case materials state.
The driver was convicted and held administratively liable under Part 2 of Article 13.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses: he was fined 30 basic units (1,350 rubles), and 4,360 rubles of income were confiscated. The ruling has not yet entered into legal force.
