The State Border Committee reported up-to-date information on the situation at the Belarusian borders with the EU countries. Poland is closed, and it is unclear when it will reopen. There are two hundred passenger cars and several times more trucks in queues at the Lithuanian checkpoints. Heavy trucks are also waiting to cross the Latvian border.
— As of 10:00, the longest queue of trucks is recorded at the entrance to Lithuania. There are 1,210 trucks in front of the Medininkai (Kamenny Log) and Šalčininkai (Benyakoni) checkpoints. The adjacent side accepted 15% and 33% of the norm in trucks into its territory in 24 hours, respectively, — the State Border Guard Service reported.
The situation is similar with passenger cars. 200 cars are in queues in front of the Lithuanian checkpoints.
— 40% and 45% of the norm in passenger cars passed through the Medininkai and Šalčininkai border crossings, respectively, — the border agency noted.
It is reported that the control services of the Latvian checkpoint “Paternieki” (“Grigorovshchina”) processed 41% of heavy trucks in 24 hours. Here, 630 trucks are waiting to enter the European Union.
