A 40-year-old resident of Grodno decided to expedite border crossing at the Brest checkpoint. He presented a Group 1 disability certificate, which entitles him to skip the line. However, this document raised doubts among border control officers about its authenticity.
An examination determined that the original entry in the disability certificate, indicating the disability group, had been technically altered by erasing characters from the original entry and adding the entry that now reads “first.” The original content of the entry has been established – “second”.
— The man explained that, having corrected his disability group, he intended to cross the border without waiting in line, – reported the details of the investigation to the State Forensic Expertise Department for the Brest Region. The Brest Interdistrict Department of the Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case under Article 380 of the Criminal Code.
