A 29-year-old resident of Baranovichi contacted the police and reported that an unknown person had gained access to her social media account. He began posting ads for the sale of tires under the woman’s name.
A Russian resident purchased a non-existent product: he transferred the money, but never received the tires, Brest police reported.
As a result, after the police intervened, the woman’s access to her account was restored, and the distribution of ads was stopped.
A criminal case has been opened under Part 1 of Article Under Article 349 of the Criminal Code, “Unauthorized access to computer information,” the individuals involved in the crime are being identified.
