With a Kremlin wall crenellation on the emblem: production of two completely new Moskvichs has begun
The Moscow automobile plant Moskvich has begun production of cars of a new product line called “M”. The company’s press service reported that two crossovers have entered production at the plant – the C-SUV and D-SUV segments, which will be released on the market under the names “Moskvich M70” and “Moskvich M90”.
One of the distinctive features of the new line is the brand’s own original emblem, which is a stylized letter “M”, reminiscent of the battlement of the Kremlin wall.
"As part of its long-term development strategy, the legendary automobile brand Moskvich announces the appearance of a new product line line — „M“. Today, the production of crossovers of the C-SUV and D-SUV segments, which will be called „Moskvich M70“ and „Moskvich M90“, started at the Moskvich plant site. The cars of the new line will receive their own emblem, which resembles a battlement of the Kremlin wall,” the Moskvich press service stated.
The crossovers have passed certification and all necessary tests in accordance with Russian standards. Details on the technical specifications and configurations of the models will be announced later. The start of sales, as specified during the presentation by the plant's general director Elena Frolova, is planned for the end of the first quarter of 2026, at the beginning of spring.
As a reminder, the first presentation of the new crossovers "M70" and "M90" took place behind closed doors at a meeting of the board of directors of KAMAZ in Naberezhnye Chelny last Friday. Employees of the auto giant were able to not only examine the new models in person, but also take them for a test drive.
