The Great Wall concern continues to equip its cars in Russia with advanced digital services. Now the update has reached the flagship Tank 700 SUV, which has received a virtual voice assistant, an integrated Yandex Auto services platform and an over-the-air software update function.

Voice Assistant
The Tank 700 SUV is now equipped with a virtual voice assistant, allowing you to control key vehicle functions without using buttons or widgets on the multimedia display. This function is a proprietary development of Great Wall Motor and has already been implemented in many of the concern’s models.
The assistant can perceive voices from four zones of the cabin and execute over 800 commands, including adjusting the climate control, activating the all-round cameras and the head-up display, and adjusting the music volume. A number of frequently repeated queries are available without the obligatory pronunciation of the wake-up phrase “Hi/Hello Great Wall”.

The Yandex Auto services platform is integrated into the Tank 700 multimedia system. Drivers now have access to Yandex Maps, Yandex Music, and Yandex Books with Yandex ID authorization and automatic data synchronization. Any of these services can be accessed via a widget located in the menu on the car’s central 16.2-inch touchscreen.
The Yandex Auto services platform provides convenient access to saved addresses, personal music playlists, and favorite podcasts and audiobooks. This minimizes smartphone use when using navigation and multimedia. The navigation map from Yandex Maps can be displayed both on the central display and on the digital instrument panel.
Over the Air update function

Over-the-air software updates have become one of the model’s key technological advantages. This can now be done remotely, without visiting an authorized dealership. Tank 700 owners will be able to independently install updates to the multimedia system, voice control, and other systems. All that is required is a stable internet connection via a mobile network or Wi-Fi.
Furthermore, the Tank 700 SUV is equipped with modern driver assistance systems. These include a digital rearview mirror with a camera, a 360-degree view system, an automatic parking assistant, intelligent cruise control and a collision avoidance system.
The flagship Tank also supports GWM Connection telematics services, with which the owner can remotely control the car from a smartphone via a single GWM mobile application. The application allows you to determine the geolocation of the car, start and stop the engine, close or open the windows, unlock or lock the doors and remotely control the climate control, setting a comfortable temperature in the cabin before the trip.
Despite the fact that the Tank 700 is imported to Russia from China, it is well adapted to Russian operating conditions and is equipped with a winter package, which includes heated seats, steering wheel, windshield and rear windows, rear-view mirrors and washer nozzles and a larger washer reservoir.
Specifically for Russia, the SUV was equipped with a large number of physical buttons to control many of the main functions of the car, and its body has enhanced anti-corrosion treatment.
On the Russian market, Tank 700 in Premium, Superior, Hi-Performance trim levels is available in the following colors: “Ucharskaya Platinum”, “Azau Green”, “Black Bogdo” and “Sayan Gray”. The top-end configuration of the premium SUV Edition One is offered in the colors “Black Bogdo” and “Multinsky Gray”.
The power unit depends on the version. In gasoline versions, the flagship “frame” is equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 engine with a capacity of 354 hp. and 560 Nm of torque, paired with a classic 9-speed automatic. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 8.8 seconds, and the top speed is 190 km/h.
The SUV in the Hi-Performance and Edition One trim levels is powered by the same parallel-hybrid power plant, consisting of a 3.0-liter V6 turbo gasoline engine with a capacity of 354 hp and an electric motor built into the gearbox. 30-minute power is 422 hp, peak – 517 hp, torque – 800 Nm. Their total power is 422 hp (800 Nm), and at peak they together produce 517 hp.
These Tank 700s also have a 37.1 kWh lithium-ion battery, allowing for an electric-only range of about 100 km. They accelerate to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, and have a top speed of 190 km/h. Intelligent all-wheel drive and differential locks on both axles are standard in all model trim levels.
