The new version of Tank 500 has become the most powerful in Russia: Hi-Charge hybrid with 394 hp
The Tank 500 SUV in Russia received a new Hi-Charge trim level with a plug-in hybrid powertrain (PHEV) and will now be offered in a total of five versions. This was announced by the Russian representative office of Great Wall Motor.

New version of Tank The 500 joins the Adventure, Premium and BLACKTRAIL trim levels already on the market with petrol engines and the Urban hybrid version. The new SUV is based on the innovative Hi4-T architecture and is powered by a plug-in hybrid powertrain based on a 2.0-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor, combined with a nine-speed gearbox.
A 37.1 kWh lithium-ion battery is installed above the rear axle of the new Tank 500. The car supports fast charging with direct current (DC) with a power of up to 53 kW and allows you to travel on “pure” electricity for up to 115 kilometers.
The Tank 500 in the Hi-Charge hybrid version is equipped with retractable thresholds with an electric drive, roof rails, adaptive LED optics, a massive radiator grille and cast 19-inch wheels with an original design, and the spare wheel is located on the trunk door. The interior of the SUV is trimmed with Nappa leather. There are front and rear seats with massage and ventilation functions, a second-row central armrest with touchscreen control and wireless charging, electric curtains on the rear row of seats, as well as double glazing with noise insulation.
Sales of the Tank 500 in the Hi-Charge configuration in Russia will start in the third quarter of 2025. Prices and detailed specifications will be announced closer to that time.
