The hybrid SUV iCAUR V27 for the Russian Federation will receive a new heat management system

The Chery brand iCAUR announced the transition to a new stage in improving the “winter” reliability of electric vehicles and serial hybrids. We are talking about the future new product of the Russian market – the V27 hybrid SUV, which received an advanced integrated thermal management architecture of the 1+1+3 type.

As reported to “Auto News of the Day” in According to the iCAUR press service, this architecture was developed specifically for operation in harsh climates, which eliminated all the typical problems of operation in cold climates: reduced range, prolonged warm-up of the power plant and discomfort in the cabin.

“We create cars that are not afraid of the cold. V27 is a practical solution for those who live and operate a car in harsh climates: coordinated operation of systems, fast and safe battery heating and noticeable energy savings,” noted the official representative of iCAUR.

The company explained that if previously the thermal circuits of the car resembled a set of disparate solutions – as if each room had its own heater and everyone lived by its own rules, then the iCAUR V27 SUV collects heat in a single center, after which it is distributed and reused.

The integrated 1+1+3 architecture works in such a way that two heat sources (the internal combustion engine and the generator) work in conjunction with three key electrical subsystems: a high-voltage battery, traction electric motors and power electronics under a single control. As a result, the power unit reaches operating mode faster, power delivery becomes more stable, and the interior warms up more efficiently.

Earlier it became known that the iCAUR brand began adapting the new V27 SUV for use in Russian climatic and road conditions. Following the premiere in Dubai and the launch of serial production in Wuhu, the first batches of cars have been sent for testing and refinement for further deliveries to Russia.

As a reminder, the iCAUR V27 hybrid powertrain consists of a 1.5-liter gasoline engine producing 141 hp and one or two electric motors, depending on the configuration. The power of the version with a two-motor electric system reaches 449 hp, which allows acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in five seconds. The single-motor installation produces up to 248 “horses”. On “pure” electricity, the iCar V27 can travel up to 210 km, and the total range of the SUV in mixed mode exceeds 800 km.

Prices for the model on the Russian market have not yet been announced. Anna Utkina, Director of Communications for the Avtodom Group of Companies and the AutoSpetsTsentr Group of Companies, recently shared her forecast on this matter.
