The Chinese auto giant Great Wall Motor officially presented the new crossover Haval Big Dog Plus on the domestic market. It will be available in five trim levels priced from 135,800 to 183,800 yuan or from 1.6 to 2.1 million rubles at the current exchange rate.

Haval Big Dog Plus is a new modification of the second generation Haval Big Dog with an updated appearance, as well as gasoline and hybrid power plants. It differs from the current model by a semi-closed radiator grille with a larger Haval logo in the center, a Haval logo at the rear instead of the GWM nameplate, and plastic wheel arch extensions with rivets.

The dimensions of the body have not changed and are still 4705 mm in length, 1908 mm in width and 1780 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2810 mm. The approach angle is 24°, the departure angle is 30°, and the maximum fording depth reaches 560 mm.

Haval Big Dog Plus The interior has a new two-spoke steering wheel with a so-called “flat bottom”, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 14.6-inch central display of the infotainment system based on the latest Coffee OS 3.0 operating system from GWM. There are also six airbags and a total of 38 storage compartments.

The gasoline version of the Haval Big Dog Plus is equipped with 1.5- or 2.0-liter turbocharged engines. In the first case, this is a 181-horsepower GW4B15L unit paired with a seven-speed DCT robotic gearbox. In the second case, a 235-horsepower GW4B15L engine paired with a nine-speed “robot”.

Meanwhile, analysts from Avtostat named the best-selling new cars in Russia. The popular crossover Haval topped the rating.
