Charged for success: Mitsubishi unveiled a new electric car that can travel up to 600 km without recharging
Mitsubishi Motors has unveiled the all-electric version of the Eclipse Cross crossover for Europe. Sales will begin in stages by the end of 2025, with assembly to be set up at the Renault plant in Douai. “Auto News of the Day” learned about this from an official statement from Mitsubishi.
The new model is based on the CMF-EV platform and is exclusively an electric vehicle. The car has a front end designed within the Dynamic Shield concept, 20-inch wheels, the design of which emphasizes the triangular shape of the brand logo, and a rear end in the signature Hexagonal Stability style.

Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 87 kW h, providing up to 600 km of range according to the WLTP cycle. Fast charging is possible with a power of up to 150 kW, and standard charging – up to 22 kW. Also, in 2026, it is planned to release a version with a shorter range.
The interior uses silver inserts, there are 48 lighting options. The color of the lighting changes depending on the selected driving mode. Panoramic roof – with electrochromic dimming.

The multimedia system includes a vertical 12.3-inch screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, and the Harman Kardon audio system offers five sound modes. Remote control of locks, charging and other functions is available through the Mitsubishi app. Software updates are performed over the air (FOTA).
The new electric crossover Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross received up to 20 driver assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go function, Mi-Pilot lane keeping system, all-round view (AVM), driver fatigue monitoring (DAM), forward collision avoidance system (FCM), parking assistant and others.
Previously, the compact crossover Mitsubishi X-Force, previously offered only with a gasoline engine, debuted in a hybrid version. The premiere of the new model with a fuel consumption of 4 liters per 100 km took place in Bangkok.
