Chery has revealed new details about the iCAUR V27 REEV hybrid SUV, the first model of the iCAUR brand, which will enter the Russian market in 2026. It will set a new standard for hybrid cars, offering record efficiency and comfort in any conditions, Chery promises.

As Evgeniya Nikitena-Katsarskaya, head of the press service of the Russian office of Chery, told Avtonovosti Dnya, the iCAUR V27 REEV power plant achieves an energy efficiency of 3.71 kW h per liter of fuel and provides a total driving range of over 1000 km. The 1.5-liter turbo engine demonstrated exceptional reliability during testing – more than 1 million kilometers of trouble-free operation.

Chery clarified that the “heart” of the iCAUR V27 REEV power plant is a gasoline turbocharged engine with a thermal efficiency of 44.5% and a noise level not exceeding 61 dB, which is equivalent to a normal conversation between two people.
The iCAUR intelligent 10-in-1 Drive System combines ten main modules into a single compact unit attached to the engine. This solution allows the system to be 27% smaller, 21% lighter, and 37% more powerful, achieving a peak efficiency of 95.17%. For users, this means improved handling, lower energy consumption and an increased range.

The battery is one of the most important components in a series hybrid. In the V27, it is designed using four fundamental principles: genuine safety, proven reliability, ultra-fast charging and all-weather durability.
«iCAUR is based on three fundamental principles – zero fire risk, failure-free operation and the complete elimination of accidents. These principles reflect our unwavering priority: user safety comes first,” said Mr. Ma, Technical Director of the iCAUR brand.
For operation in a wide temperature range: from -35 °C to +60 °C, the V27 implements the advanced 5D Smart Thermal Control System. It includes 17 operating modes that adapt to various driving scenarios and external conditions.

The central intelligence module integrates thermal management of the electric motors, battery and interior climate. Regardless of the region – be it the heat of the Middle East or the frosts of Siberia – the V27 maintains stable operation and climate comfort inside the car, Chery assures.
