The basic configuration of the car will be equipped with a new “VAZ” engine with a volume of 1.6 liters, which will develop 120 hp and be combined with a six-speed “mechanics”. More expensive versions will receive a 132-horsepower 1.8-liter engine and a CVT, and later the engine range will include the first-ever LADA turbocharged engine with a capacity of 150 hp, paired with a classic automatic.

It was previously reported that LADA Azimut prototypes are undergoing a series of tests in a climate laboratory, where the ability of the engine and all systems to start and warm up at low temperatures is checked. As stated by AvtoVAZ, the crossover is being prepared for use in harsh weather conditions with even greater care than the LADA Vesta was prepared before it.
