A new domestic car will appear in Russia that many will be able to afford

Most Russians will be able to afford to buy the domestic “Atom” electric car. This was reported to TASS at the Innoprom exhibition by the director of the Electromobility business line of JSC TVEL (the management company of the Fuel Division of Rosatom) Alexander Bukhvalov, hinting that the electric car will receive a democratic price tag.

“The official price has not yet been announced, but we assume that the Atom car will be in the price category that most residents will be able to buy. Plus, together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, we are considering all possible support measures that are in effect now, and not only for the Atom electric car. Therefore, we hope that it will be widely distributed,” said Alexander Bukhvalov.

Let us recall that in June, the Atom electric vehicle passed the assembly stage of pre-production prototypes of the VC (Vehicle Check) series. The production model will have a body made of five different metals with a patented design of power thresholds and will be equipped with an electric motor capable of producing up to 204 hp and 294 Nm of torque.

At the beginning of May, the pre-production prototype of the Atom was first spotted on the roads of Moscow. It was partially camouflaged with a thick black film – both bumpers, fenders on both sides, sills and the edge of the hood were hidden from prying eyes.
