Hongqi EH7 and EHS7: New luxury electric models arrive in Europe
Chinese automobile brand Hongqi, known for its long tradition in the luxury car segment, recently unveiled the EH7 and EHS7 electric models at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, marking its official entry into the European market.
The Hongqi EH7 is a luxury electric sedan that combines elegant design and advanced technology. The EH7 is available in rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions and is equipped with electric motors producing 344 hp and 619 hp, respectively. Battery packs with a capacity of 85 kWh and 111 kWh guarantee a range of up to 700 km according to the CLTC cycle. The spacious interior with a 3-meter wheelbase provides a high level of comfort for passengers, and features such as a head-up display with augmented reality and a personalized audio system make driving even more enjoyable.
The EHS7 electric SUV stands out for its impressive dimensions and impressive design. With a length of 4.93 meters, it features a luxurious interior and advanced technologies. Available powertrains include a rear electric motor producing 344 horsepower and a dual-motor all-wheel drive system delivering up to 619 horsepower. A 111 kWh battery provides a range of up to 600 km, while adjustable electronic suspension and rear-wheel steering enhance agility and driving comfort.
Both models support fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes. This feature meets the efficiency needs of European consumers. Additionally, they are equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), enhancing driving safety and comfort.
Hongqi has announced competitive pricing for the European market: the EH7 will be priced from €49,999 and the EHS7 from €53,999, positioning itself as an attractive alternative in the luxury electric vehicle segment. To ensure adequate after-sales support, the brand is developing a service network in 29 European countries, offering a wide range of services, from scheduled maintenance to emergency assistance.
Hongqi’s expansion into Europe represents a significant step in the brand’s globalization strategy, aimed at launching additional models in the coming years to meet the growing demand for high-quality, intelligent, and eco-friendly electric vehicles.
