The New Cadillac Escalade IQL: A Huge Electric SUV

Cadillac recently unveiled the Escalade IQL, a stretched version of its flagship Escalade IQ electric SUV. The new model stands out for its impressive dimensions, making it the longest SUV ever produced, both among internal combustion engine vehicles and electric vehicles.

The Escalade IQL has an overall length of 5,803 mm, which is longer than both the gasoline version of the ESV and the standard Escalade IQ. This increase in size means more space for passengers and cargo. In particular, third-row passengers get 933 mm of legroom and 970 mm of headroom, which provides excellent comfort for rear-seat passengers. In addition, the trunk offers 685 liters of capacity behind the third row and can reach 2,135 liters with the seats folded, allowing you to comfortably transport bulky items.

Aesthetically, the Escalade IQL retains the signature square silhouette of the Escalade lineup, with clean lines that convey strength and elegance. Inside, a 55-inch infotainment display extends from pillar to pillar, providing an immersive digital experience. Powered by the Android Automotive operating system, this screen integrates key entertainment and navigation features, providing an intuitive interaction for the driver and passengers.

Technically, the Escalade IQL is equipped with a 205 kWh battery that provides an estimated range of 450 miles on a single charge. Fast-charging capability allows the range to be increased to 115 miles in just 10 minutes using 350 kW DC fast-charging stations. These features make the Escalade IQL not only an impressive vehicle in size, but also highly efficient and practical for long-distance travel.

The Escalade IQL starts at $132,695 in 2025. Production is scheduled for mid-2025 at GM Factory Zero in Detroit, underscoring the company’s commitment to the transition to sustainable mobility.

With the Escalade IQL, Cadillac demonstrates its ability to innovate in the luxury SUV segment, combining impressive size, advanced technology, and remarkable energy efficiency. This model represents a significant step towards the future of the automobile, offering customers a driving experience without compromising on space, comfort and stability.
